Dell last week unveiled a digital XGA projector priced at $1,499. Based on Texas Instruments DLP (digital light processing) technology, the 2300MP displays images with up to 2,300 ANSI lumens of brightness, a 2,100-1 contrast ratio and 1,024-by-768-pixel native XGA resolution, according to company officials.

Zoom and keystone correction are controlled manually. Connectivity options include PC, S-Video, composite video, component video and RS-232.

The projector, available now, weighs slightly less than 5 pounds, making it not as light as Dells 4-pound 3300MP.
