DeWitt Zips Over To Zaplet CIO Job

Dante Dewitt has joined Zaplet Inc., of Redwood Shores, Calif., as CIO. DeWitt will spearhead IT strategy and operations at Zaplet, which provides enterprise collaborative applications delivered via e-mail or Internet browser.

Prior to joining Zaplet, DeWitt served as CIO of Equinix Inc., a vendor that creates and operates Internet Business Exchange centers. He has also done tours of duty as CIO for the investment firms JPMorgan H&Q and Robertson Stephens Inc. DeWitt serves on the board of directors for Knowmadic Inc., as well as on the technology and advisory boards of C-bridge Internet Solutions, LongView International Inc. and Support.com Inc.

E-marketplace Names New CTO

Elemica Inc., a chemical industry e-marketplace founded by leading chemical companies, has snagged the technology leader of one of its investors to become its chief technology officer.

Stewart McCutcheon, formerly global e-business technology director for DuPont, of Wilmington, Del., will oversee all areas of technology at Elemica, including taking the reins to integrate the e-marketplaces integrated IT structure.

McCutcheon, a 21-year veteran of DuPont, defined and deployed e-business technologies globally across 19 business units in his former post, serving in various executive and business management roles across IT, manufacturing, supply chain management, R&D and engineering.
