The fourth generation of HPs AMD business desktops started shipping with Energy Star 4.0-compliant configurations Jan. 31.

The VGA and DVI ports support dual-monitor configurations. Rounding out the back options are six USB ports, two PS/2 connectors, a parallel port, serial port, Gigabit Ethernet and standard audio jacks.

The small form factor chassis measures 4.5 by 15.5 by 13.5 inches.

Passively cooling chip sets with heat sinks instead of fans reduces noise and power consumption. The small form factor dc5750 features four low-profile expansion slots: two PCI, one PCI-Express x1 and one PCI-Express x16.

The HP Compaq dc5750 scored a respectable 3.0 on the Windows Experience Index benchmark in Vista, limited mainly by its integrated ATI X300 graphics core.
