Making further strides with its technology aimed at small and midsized businesses, Microsoft Corps Business Solutions Division announced today a number of upgrades to its Great Plains, Solomon, Navision and Axapta ERP (enterprise resource planning) suites.

At the same time, MBS announced a partnership with Bank One Corp. to provide a combined product, dubbed Integrated Cash Management Solutions. The suite of software and banking services will enable mid-market companies to automate the process for sending and receiving files between Great Plains and Bank Ones cash management service.

The Integrated Cash Management Solutions [ICMS] provides connectivity for Bank One customers using Version 7.5 of Great Plains, automating the transmission of banking information such as electronic payment transfers, check payments, electronic collections and receivables reporting.

Additional enhancements to Great Plains Version 7.5 include an option to use Windows Small Business Server 2003 with Great Plains Standard; an analytical accounting tool; integration with Microsoft Demand Planner; the addition of Forecaster 6.7 and FRx 6.7; and the additions of Office 2003 and Microsoft Business Portal.

Similar to upgrades with Great Plains, Solomon 5.5, Navision 3.7 and Axapta 3.0, all include the option to use Windows Small Business Server 2003 with the standard versions of the software.

Solomon 5.5 also includes support for Microsoft Project 2003 and the Business Portal.

Demand Planner is included in the enhanced versions of Navision 3.7 and Axapta 3.0. The latter also includes FRx 6.5.
