In any business, saving money is good. Through alliances with Analytics Inc. and Digital Paper Corp., Commerce One Inc. is upgrading its Commerce One Source module to help users do just that.

Source is part of Commerce Ones namesake 5.0 collaborative procurement platform. The Pleasanton, Calif., company earlier this month introduced spend analysis and post-design document collaboration capabilities.

With the added functionality, customers can identify chances to save money and deliver complex technical content to trading partners, Commerce One officials said. Analytics provides a complementary spend analysis service that aggregates spend data from various back-end and enterprise resource planning systems. Pairing 5.0 with Digital Papers technology brings post-design document collaboration to Commerce Ones request and negotiation component.

The upgraded Source is available now, starting at $500,000.
