Connected this week will launch DataProtector 7.0 to help enterprises back up desktop computers.

The product is an upgrade to Connected Total Lifecycle Management 6.2 and focuses on scalability, security and management, said company officials.

The software can handle 20,000 users on a server—twice the capacity of 6.2. A new feature, EmailOptimizer, analyzes Outlook .pst files and Notes .nsf files for changes to attachments. DataProtector now has 128-bit security, up from 112 bits.
