      The T61s memory slots support a maximum of 4GB of RAM. Youll need a 64-bit operating system to use all 4GBs, however.

      With the system unit exposed, we now see [upper left rear] the copper heat conduits for the processors and other system components. The optical drive is on the right in the T61 and is easily removed and replaced.

      The fairly flat undercarriage is slotted with air intakes to help with system cooling. The anti-skip feet shown near the leading edge of the T61 provided sure footing on typical work surfaces.
