Printer maker OKI Data announced the receipt of the “BERTL’s Best” for the C610 and C711 series of color digital LED printers. The C711 received the “Best Small Medium Workgroup Series Award,” and the C610 won the “Best Compact Desktop Printer Award.”

The Business Equipment Research and Test Laboratories (BERTL) is an independent testing laboratory whose purpose is to provide objective, independent product evaluation reports and comparative analyses on imaging devices and software workflow solutions. Its primary focus is the end user.

The A4 color digital LED printers, the C610 Series and C711 Series, are designed to increase the impact of color output, offer maximum efficiency for medium to large workgroups and provide users with the flexibility and ability to print on a variety of media, allowing color document production to take place in-house in an effort to reduce costs and save time.

The C610 Series is designed for SMBs and medium-size workgroups, enabling output with enhanced detail and rich color. Featuring a 400-sheet standard paper capacity (which is expandable to 1,460 with optional second and third paper trays), the C610 Series is also designed to be flexible enough to handle paper weights to 250 grams per square meter (gsm). Powered by Single Pass Color Digital technology and 1,200 by 600 dpi resolution, the C610 Series provides users with enhanced output on a variety of media, from 3-by-5-inch cards to 8.5-by-52-inch banner-size sheets.

“We are pleased to receive the -BERTL’s Best’ as it signifies the considerable effort we contribute to our innovative products through the unique LED technology, which brings end user benefits including reliability, easy to use and high performance,” said Harushige Sugimoto, president of OKI Data. “The receipt of -BERTL’s Best’ is a true testament to OKI Data’s commitment in providing innovative products and solutions that meet the various needs of our end users, at the same time, maximizing efficiencies.”

Since 1995, the “BERTL’s Best” Awards have recognized the best device, software and product lines in the digital imaging marketplace that were launched during the year. “The categories are based on desktop, workgroup, departmental and production work environments. BERTL’s analysts review them to identify the select group of devices and software that stand apart from the others,” a company release stated.
