2Power Under the Hood
Both the Toughbook 30 and 19 feature between 2GB and 4GB of DDR2 (double data rate 2) RAM and a 160GB SATA (Serial ATA) hard drive. The Toughbook 30 is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo SL9300 1.6GHz processor, while the Toughbook 19 runs on an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 1.2GHz chip.
3The 40% Boost
In addition to Intel processors, larger-capacity hard drives and batteries that live 40 percent longer, both laptops boast expanded memory capabilities and improved security and remote management.
4Blocking the Glare
The improved Panasonic Toughbooks offer 9 to 1,000 nits’ worth of LCD brightness, circular polarization technology and a combination of anti-glare and anti-reflective treatments to keep screen images bright and clear, even in direct sunlight.
5Cover of Darkness
These updated Toughbooks also feature a “concealed mode” that turns screen and LED lights off with the tap of a function key—ideal for military or law-enforcement operations.
6Talk Anywhere
The Panasonic laptops also include 802.11a/b/g/draft-n wireless technologies, Bluetooth and capabilities for Qualcomm’s Gobi 3G broadband technology.
