A couple of new apps-in-the-making combine the features of Google and auctioneer eBay, making for an interesting mix of two Internet honchos.

With this software installed, eBay bidders can keep track of an auction’s current high bid, time remaining and other details using Google’s desktop features. The plug-in was originally developed by Google.

There’s also a real-time eBay auction listing using Google Map. For comparisons, the mashup’s leaders point to this rental finder using a combo of Google Maps and Craigslist.
