It’s a tough time to be an online book publisher in Europe.
On March 6, major European book publishers took a swipe at Amazon Inc. during a publishing conference panel. One participant said Amazon was a bigger threat than Google.
Meanwhile, Google faces a possible legal showdown in France. Publishers there are expected to decide next week whether to file a lawsuit seeking to put a stop to Google’s online book features.
