Some AdSense publishers are now using Google advertising inside e-mails and newsletters, say posters on the DigitalPoint forums.

Barry Schwartz points us to the forum posts, where a poster has noticed that an e-mail sent by a job listings service contains links to Google ads. The Google AdSense terms of serviceexplicitly forbids this practice.

One poster hypothesizes that Google has begun to allow AdSense publishers to place ads in e-mails in order to make up for the revenue lost this summer after the AdWords landing page algorithms were changed.

Google representatives did not immediately return an e-mail requesting comment, but we’ll let you know when they do.
