Google’s latest Web browser toolbar is the first time the Internet search provider has targeted that particular feature at enterprises.

The free Google Toolbar for Enterprise beta contains administrative controls. Presumably, a company could distribute a customized version of the toolbar to scan employee directories and other frequently used information sources found on corporate intranets.

Of the five new toolbar bells and whistles, the most notable is “Send To” for sending Web pages via Google’s free Gmail email, SMS cell phone text messaging or to post directly to a web logs (blogs).
