Google recently updated its Google Labs page to reveal more papers written by Googlers. Most of the papers are from 2006 and the latter half of 2005. A few examples:

Related: Microsoft Research recently posted a “news story” on what researchers at Microsoft Asia are doing with object-level vertical search. According to Microsoft, this type of search goes beyond page-level relevance and ranking to collate information on a specific object that may be distributed throughout multiple, separate Web sites or pages.
