Writely Moving over to Google Accounts for Sign-in Soon

A few weeks after opening Writely to new customers, Google will be moving the online word processor over to Google Accounts so you can use the same logon you use for other Google services.

To make things simple, they say, they will create a new Google Account for you based on the e-mail address you originally signed in with.

That means that initially, if you already have a Google Account, you’ll now have two. Not to worry, Google says, you can merge your two accounts by using your Gmail login when switching from your Writely login. Here’s hoping that works.
