Compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act fell to just 0.54 percent in July, according to a study by MX Logic Inc., an email security company. This is the lowest monthly compliance since the law went into effect on Jan. 1.
“The law provides a definition of legally unacceptable email marketing practices and empowers consumer protection agencies and ISPs to go after hardcore spammers, but it cannot by itself control the onslaught of spam,” said said Scott Chasin, CTO of MX Logic.
