Counterpane Internet Security Inc. this week unveiled a suite of services that incorporates managed security monitoring and intrusion detection, among other functions. The suites security monitoring hinges on a real-time intrusion-detection appliance that works at the perimeter of a customers network to collect, sort, correlate and analyze data from that companys firewall.
The suite, dubbed Counterpane Enterprise Protection Suite for Small and Mid-Sized Enterprises, enables SMBs to save money on security by outsourcing it, according to Paul Stich, president and CEO of the company.
