The total enterprise security market is a $2.9 billion industry worldwide in 2004, according to a study from The Radicati Group Inc. The group expects the market to grow rapidly over the next four years, reaching $6.6 billion in 2008.

The group said users are moving away from point solutions and towards full suite security solutions that manage multiple security functions, including anti-spam, anti-virus, and encryption, and much more. Other top segments include email encryption and smart cards.
