Microsoft announced its intentions to buy a little-known Romanian antivirus vendor, GeCAD Software, for an undisclosed amount. The move comes at an odd time, as this eWeek story notes, given Microsofts growing alliances with a number of third-party antivirus makers. Perhaps Microsoft will make GeCADs wares part of its PC Satisfaction Trial service? Stay tuned.
