Microsoft Posts Anti-Blaster Tool for Home Users

Microsoft has made available for download a tool for home users running Windows XP and/or Windows 2000 (with Service Pack 2 or higher) that will eradicate the Blaster worm from their systems. The Windows Blaster Worm Removal Tool is for customers who already downloaded the MS03-026 or MS03-039 Blaster patches last summer. The new tool removes “the common Blaster variants that may have infected their PCs prior to patch application,” Microsoft says.
