Microsoft has released to its download center the 1.2 version of its Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer product. (Thanks for the link, Bink.) The tool is designed to alert Windows users to potential security misconfigurations. MBSA runs on Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2000 and Windows XP, but checks for security breaches across nearly all of Microsofts enterprise software.
