Passlogix Inc. Is rolling out the newest version of its v-GO Single Sign-On offering, which now has a much smaller memory footprint and is designed to work in any environment regardless of the mix of platforms and applications.
The v-GO SSO 4.0 solution supports single sign-on across Windows, Web, Unix, custom and hosted applications. The release represents a complete revision of the product, Passlogix officials said, and much of the companys focus was on improving the management console.
“Its really meant for someone whos [a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer] with about two years of experience,” said Mark Boroditsky, CEO and president of New York-based Passlogix. “Some of our customers have been able to install it completely on their own without our help.”
Some of the speed improvements come from the fact that all of the cryptographic operations are done on the fly.
The new version is also capable of accepting log-on credentials from a variety of sources, including biometrics devices and smart cards, as well as public-key infrastructure or token-based authentication.
V-GO SSO 4.0 will be available this week.
