Today’s topics include Symantec releasing three products for workload assurance security, and Adobe optimizing the shopping experience with Magento Commerce Cloud.

Symantec has enhanced its cloud security portfolio, announcing three new offerings on Oct. 9.

Cloud Workload Assurance helps harden secure configurations in the cloud, Cloud Workload Protection for Storage is being enhanced with data loss prevention capabilities, and the CloudSOC Cloud Access Security Broker is being expanded with new customization and API features. Symantec is also launching a Managed Cloud Defense service to help organizations secure their cloud deployments.

Eric Andrews, vice president of cloud security at Symantec, told eWEEK, “Our cloud solutions are engineered to integrate with other Symantec products that extend existing services or as stand-alone products.”

Looking forward, Andrews said Symantec will continue to expand its cyber-security portfolio for both cloud and on-premises environments.

Adobe announced an integrated platform for e-commerce that combines Magento Commerce with Adobe Experience Cloud, a combination the company said will help make “every experience shoppable” by giving enterprises the ability to create engaging, personalized shopping experiences.

The integration combines the content management, personalization and analytics capabilities of Experience Cloud, which manages over 233 trillion customer transactions a year, with Magento Commerce Cloud, which handles $155 billion in online sales transactions annually. Adobe completed its acquisition of Magento Commerce in June for $1.68 billion.

The latest release of the Magento platform, which underpins the Magento Commerce Cloud, includes several new features including the Page Builder drag-and-drop editing tool and Progressive Web Applications Studio.
