Novell on Nov. 1 named Troy Richardson as president of Novell Americas.

Richardson, formerly vice president and general manager of sales for Novells Northeast region, will be responsible for the full range of Novells sales and consulting business across the U.S., Latin America, and Canada.

Along with this change, Susan Heystee, the former president of Novell Americas, becomes the VP and general manager for global strategic alliances, a newly created position that recognizes the importance of Novells partner community to Novells success.

Richardson has over 22 years in the technology industry, with a proven track record for consistently delivering significant revenue and profit growth and building high-performance teams, according to Novell.

Richardson joined Novell in July 2005 as VP and general manager for the Northeast Area.
