The “high-heel” on the 17-inch 3700 is an extended battery option. The 3700 can also be outfitted with an Intel Core i7 Quad Core processor. Pricing begins around $650 for the 3700 and under $600 for the three smaller models in the series.

Precision M4500

The 15.6-inch Dell Precision M4500 mobile workstation, called the worlds most powerful in its size, is a sibling to the 17-inch M6500. Its available with an Intel Core i7-920XM Quad Core Extreme Edition processor or Core i7 or Core i5 processors, linked to 1,066MHz and 1,333MHz of memory. Other options include Nvidia Quadro FX 1800M or Quadro FX 880M graphics with 1GB of dedicated memory.

The M4500 weighs 6 pounds, runs Windows 7 and offers an HD+ sRGB LED screen, a 3-megapixel webcam and Gobi 2.0 technology for just-about-anywhere mobile broadband support. Pricing, while unannounced, should be in the ballpark of the M6500.
