Network security and storage appliance solutions specialist Huawei Symantec Technologies announced that Condre Storage, an enterprise IT distributor, has been selected as an authorized distributor for its network storage products in the North American market. Condre Storage has announced plans to work jointly with Huawei Symantec to build awareness and reach for the HS brand through its distribution network of 2,500 value-added storage resellers.

Condre Storage said it plans to develop channel and partner strategies to recruit and broaden the partner network of HS’ network storage solutions.
In addition, Condre Storage also provides value-added distribution (VAD) services to its regional channel partners. This includes a range of networked services, such as pre-sales consultancy, marketing, service implementation and after-sales support. The company offers a combination of product lines in hard drives, tape backup, RAID systems, storage area networking (SAN) and software
“Our partnership with Huawei Symantec allows us access to the market’s broadest portfolio of industry-leading storage solutions,” said Condre Storage President Dennis Maetzold. “We want to provide the North American market with best-in-class and most-cost-effective solutions that create win-win scenarios and drive business success.”
At present, HS storage and network security products are used by more than 100 carriers and numerous industries in more than 40 countries and regions, including Vodafone, Telenor, MTN, Telefonica, FT/Orange, SingTel, China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom, in addition to clients within the government, finance, energy, communications, health care, education and small to medium-size business (SMB) sectors.
“Condre Storage has comprehensive coverage and a deep understanding of how to succeed in the distribution business in the North America market. With their services and consulting capabilities, Condre Storage is definitely a distribution partner we can trust to grow our business in the region,” said Huawei Symantec’s general manager of the North American market, Jane Li. “I believe Huawei Symantec, as a storage, security and integrated IT products and solutions provider, is bound for success with our partnership with Condre Storage.”
In May, Huawei Symantec launched a cloud strategy offering customers an end-to-end infrastructure solution. This solution is designed to meet demands for ubiquitous, multiservice bearer cloud services, while “4+1 Clouds” is designed to meet differentiated demands in cloud building. The company said based on market analysis, it believes that more and more companies are looking for ways to improve efficiency and manage operating costs and hope to set up an efficient, flexible, manageable and scalable cloud infrastructure platform to meet rapidly changing IT needs through modeled delivery deployment.
