Web-based project management software developer Projecturf updated its software with online project management tools such as video integration, custom drag and drop Gantt charts, and showcasing designs for approval. These features are offered alongside several other enhancements that are designed to help small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) increase productivity and integrate the SaaS-based software into their day-to-day operations.

Projecturf now offers a slew of features and enhancements to all new and existing users, including the ability to drag and drop tasks and subtasks on the Gantt chart to update timelines. Businesses can use the resize feature to extend or shorten the duration of any of your tasks with just one click and utilize the global Gantt chart to revise plans across all projects in one place and set custom filters to view specific time periods or to display tasks by specific users.

Another feature is task syncing, where businesses can use the project calendar feeds to sync all tasks to any popular calendar application such as iCal, Google, and Outlook. Subscribe by simply checking the box to include tasks with events, and the calendar feed will instantly generate. Also included is Youtube and Vimeo integration, which allows businesses to paste a link to a Youtube or Vimeo video in the Documents section and the video will automatically convert for inline viewing within Projecturf. Businesses can also use Projecturf’s additional features to set permissions, get approvals, track versions, create discussions, and add videos to folders.

To keep track of all expenses in one place, now add the project expenses in with the individual time entries. If expenses are related to a task or ticket, they can be attached to tasks or tickets similar to how hours are entered. All expenses are tracked against the project budget. Business can also set date filters in the timecard section to display all expenses between a selected time period, and view costs for a particular month or week and export the data based on the chosen filters.

Projecturf is running a promotion for a limited time by offering new and existing customers one month of free service when signing up for the annual subscription. Each account comes with a 14-day risk-free trial. All business plans have unlimited storage space with no cap on users, project managers, or features.

SMBs and freelancers are given several ways to manage their projects with these project management tool features and enhancements. The new drag and drop functionality on the Gantt chart is offered on top of the existing drag and drop calendar, thereby providing another option for updating timelines and schedules based on user preference. The added flexibility allows companies to always stay informed while accommodating various work styles, the company said.
