Snom Technology, a developer of IP phones and IP communications solutions for the enterprise and small to medium-size business market, announced the release of Snom One plus, a new hardware-based version of the company’s One IP PBX. The combination of the company’s business-class IP phones and the One plus provides a full-featured business-class IP telephony solution for organizations with five to 150 extensions, which the company said makes it one of the most scalable plug-and-play systems on the market.
Built on standards-based SIP technology, One plus provides value added resellers with a plug-and-play hardware appliance for business IP telephony that is preinstalled and configured with One IP PBX software for deployment with Snom business IP desktop phones and endpoints, including the Snom 3xx series, 8xx series, m9 DECT phones, and MeetingPoint conference phone.
For midmarket companies, One Plus offers the IP PBX functionality required for the information-driven business, including centralized address book, auto attendants, hunt groups, hot desking, shared line emulation and CRM integration. The company’s IP telephony also includes an array of presence and monitoring features, such as remote extension monitoring, agent groups, remote worker support and cell phone twinning.
“The Snom One plus offers scale and flexibility, ranging from 5 to 150 extensions and offering a wide variety of port and connectivity configurations, that is unheard of in the industry and ensures that growing businesses won’t have to replace their entire telephony system if they grow beyond a certain point or need to change connectivity platforms,” said Jonathan Greenwood, managing director at Snom UK Ltd. and product manager for the One plus. “All that at a price point that makes full-feature IP telephony available to SMBs.”
The platform comes in two versions: the One plus yellow, for up to 20 extensions, or the One plus blue, for up to 150 extensions. Both versions provide the same feature set of the One IP PBX. One plus will be available in March of 2011 in the UK through the company’s distributors and VARs, and comes with a three-year hardware warranty. The platform’s pricing varies depending on final configuration, starting at $2400, installed with the One yellow, to $4,500 for a One blue package with 34-port ISDN, 4 FXO and 1 FXS.
An entirely solid-state appliance with no moving parts, the One plus also supports SIP trunk or multi-functional PSTN connectivity, allowing for multiple termination options, including analog, PRI, BRI, T1 and E1, expandable from 4 Port FXO to 16 Ports, from 2 Ports BRI to 6 BRI, or from ISDN to T1/E1.
“The Snom One plus offers VARs a total solution for the easy and efficient deployment of IP communications at a price point that provides value for their SMB customers,” said Mike Storella, COO for Snom. “By offering a fully integrated system including hardware, full featured IP PBX software and a full suite of IP phones and endpoints, VARs can accelerate installation and focus on building their own businesses.”
