Windows and Mac
ELC (Egnyte Local Cloud) can be used on Windows and Mac systems. A Linux client is expected soon.
Egnyte Application
Once installed, the Egnyte local agent provides access to the cloud-based storage service for use as a traditional file server or for automatic backup.
Egnyte Console
Here, I’m logged into the cloud service to set up accounts and manage system users. You see reports of eWEEK staff logging into the Egnyte cloud service noted on this page. These are “power users,” a more expensive license option that provides users with access to the local cloud resource in addition to the online service.
Sign-In
Users sign in to a service through a Web interface that directs them to the online cloud storage.
Local Cloud Configuration
Here, I’m choosing the folders that I want synchronized between the cloud file server and the local cloud, which was hosted on the NetGear device.
