Silicon Graphics Inc. recently unveiled a storage area network (SAN) that supports Mac OS X.

The companys InfiniteStorage Shared Filesystem CXFS product allows OS X users to take advantage of the benefits of a shared file system approach offered by the companys SAN line. SGI developed the Mac-compatible version in response to demand from film and visual effects studios.
