      2BlockMaster Intact

      2

The BlockMaster SpeedStick SuperSonic rugged USB key is available in 8GB and 4GB models. It is more than rugged enough for the average business user, but it is not indestructible.

      3BlockMaster Busted

      3

The BlockMaster SpeedStick SuperSonic rugged USB key after smashing it between two 20-pound dumbbells. It did not function after this.

The same USB key at a different angle.

      5Insert Drive

      5

To access the volume, simply insert the BlockMaster SpeedStick SuperSonic and double-click My Computer, then CD Drive (Login SafeStick).

      6Tray Icon

      6

After unlocking the drive, the control panel icon appears on the system tray. Im not sure what it is, but I suspect it was the model for the Olympic Cauldron in Vancouver. Far left.

      7Control Panel

      7

Its possible to lock the SpeedStick from the control panel software, but the user cant do much else.

      8Side by Side

      8

Heres the destroyed SpeedStick SuperSonic and the undamaged one.

      9SafeConsole

      9

For enterprise deployment, SafeConsole software is used to configure just about any setting for controlling the USB key and anything on it. In the configuration wizard, I integrated with Active Directory very easily.

      10Password Policy

      10

Using SafeConsole I established user and group password policy before deploying the hardware.

      11System Tools

      11

SafeConsole can be used to configure automatic backups of a users SafeStick to a server.

      12BlockMaster on Vacation

      12

The BlockMaster SpeedStick SuperSonic USB key survived a jarring 30-minute ride tied to this tricycle in Kalibo, Aklan Province, Philippines.

      13BlockMaster Close Up

Here is a closeup of the USB key.
