Nanochip Inc. recently said it secured $20 million in second-round funding that will be used to take its technology to the product stage.

The company develops a form of “micro-electrical mechanical system” (MEMS) rewritable storage. The CMOS-compatible storage can be used in memory cards and other devices for digital still and video cameras, MP3 players, and other other systems that require high densities of nonvolatile storage.
