1TrackVia Quickens Digital Transformation With App Development Platform

1 - TrackVia Quickens Digital Transformation With App Development Platform

Digital transformation has become the clarion call for businesses seeking to leverage both mobility and the cloud. However, the process of digital transformation is anything but painless or fast. Organizations often have to re-create applications as well as rethink infrastructure to automate business processes. TrackVia aims to eliminate those transformation pain points with a cloud-based platform that combines rapid application development with low coding requirements and intuitive application integration capabilities. The TrackVia platform speeds the building of cloud-based applications that will run on multiple platforms while retaining the ability to access existing critical business data. Read on to learn more about how it works.

      2TrackVia Enables Low-Code App Development

      2 - TrackVia Enables Low-Code App Development

TrackVia’s platform allows users to create, modify and deploy fully customizable, enterprise-grade web and native mobile applications to support their organization’s operations and workflows. It features unique drag-and-drop functionality, visual tools and sophisticated technical features for low-coding application development.

3A look at the TrackVia Enterprise Main Menu

3 - A look at the TrackVia Enterprise Main Menu

TrackVia provides three basic starting points to create applications, including building an application from an existing Excel spreadsheet. The platform imports the labels, data and other relevant information to create a database table along with the appropriate data entry forms, views and lists.

      4Build Apps With a Drag-and-Drop Interface

      4 - Build Apps With a Drag-and-Drop Interface

Building an integrated web and mobile application proves straightforward thanks to the drag-and-drop interface, which starts by asking users to name their application. In this example, the application is titled, “Contacts and Contracts,” implying it will be a multitable database with defined relationships, forms and lists.

      5Defining the Data Structure

5 - Defining the Data Structure

TrackVia uses a traditional table-based design for storing data, which enables users to choose the data fields, data types, indexes and other elements. A simple drag-and-drop methodology eases table design, and guided prompts are offered to bring neophytes up to speed.

      6Customizing a Table

      6 - Customizing a Table

Tables are made of fields, which the user adds by choosing the data type and giving each field an appropriate name. Data field names are used on forms and lists and are associated with the record’s value. Fields can be indexed, so users can sort and search data, create complex arguments or filters and create relationships between different tables.

      7Building a Default Form

      7 - Building a Default Form

Once users design a basic application structure with tables, forms can be added to collect and input new data via the web interface or native mobile app. Any adjustments made to forms are applied across web and mobile versions of apps. Users also can create unique forms for specific tasks or even specific user roles.

      8Views & Analytics

      8 - Views & Analytics

TrackVia automatically creates views of real-time data in tables, charts and graphs, all of which are interactive and drillable down to individual data. Views can be edited and saved as new views, allowing users to incorporate logic. Sorts, searches and filters are included by default. Data is displayed based on definitions in the table, but displays can be modified.

      9Creating Custom Dashboards

      9 - Creating Custom Dashboards

Dashboards organize views, forms, workflow tasks and data in one place. Users can create custom dashboards for themselves or administrators can assign dashboards to specific user groups to streamline their tasks. Dashboards bring the power of “knowing at a glance” to complex applications and are useful for data and workflow management, real-time analytics and more.

      10Enforcing Role-Based Application Security

      10 - Enforcing Role-Based Application Security

Security features are integrated into TrackVia-built applications. This includes the ability to assign roles to groups or individuals for granular control and protection against corruption, theft or tampering. Roles also can be granted on individual elements such as dashboards, forms and lists. This maintains the security of applications for auditing and control.

11Administrators Have an Overview of App Components

11 - Administrators Have an Overview of App Components

Administrators can manage all aspects of an application from an overview screen, which shows all the application’s components. Administrators wanting to modify a particular component of the application simply click an icon to launch the editor. A pull-down menu of options make changes quick and easy.

      12Workflows and Business Logic

12 - Workflows and Business Logic

Incorporating workflow automation and business logic is one of the most important design elements when creating robust applications. TrackVia makes it easy to add business logic, link applications and streamline enterprise workflows. For example, users can create workflows that allow tasks to move from one step to the next with drag-and-drop ease.

      13Setting Up Alerts and Notifications

13 - Setting Up Alerts and Notifications

Users can streamline workflows or processes by sending automated alerts and notifications to groups or individual users. These can be triggered when data thresholds reach certain levels or when a certain amount of time passes. Notifications also can be used with workflows and tasks. For example, when a job or task needs approval, TrackVia can trigger an email to managers to approve the work.

      14Building Native Mobile Apps

14 - Building Native Mobile Apps

All apps built with TrackVia are mobile-ready; anything users can do on the web they also can do on iOS or Android devices. TrackVia’s native mobile app can be download from the iOS or Android app stores and provides offline/online capabilities. It also enables users to leverage their device’s built-in hardware to scan barcodes, take and mark up pictures, capture location information and more.

15Manage Multiple Applications in the Cloud

15 - Manage Multiple Applications in the Cloud

A cloud-based platform, TrackVia allows users to create, manage and support several applications in one place. Access to various applications is managed through TrackVia’s user-permission engine. Connecting and managing relationships between applications, tables or data is straightforward and fast.
