Oracle to EC: The Markets Not That Narrow

Oracle told European Commission competition regulators in a closed-door hearing that it was using too narrow a definition of the market in its plan to block Oracles takeover of PeopleSoft. Oracle executives said the EC should be looking at the market for software aimed at smaller firms as opposed to merely looking at the markets top end, which is dominated by Oracle, PeopleSoft and SAP AG.
