10 Best Sales Performance Management Apps According to Gartner

According to Gartner research, total revenue in the Sales Performance Management market currently stands at $850 million and is forecast to grow to $1.4 billion by 2022. That’s not surprising considering that sales process is an essential function for all businesses. As a result companies are always looking for effective applications that analyze sales operations to reveal ways to improve performance. To help with that, Gartner on Jan. 15 released its Magic Quadrant analysis for SPM apps. The research sheds light on which companies are leading the market in terms of innovation and their ability to execute on their plans. Gartner’s report suggests that the Sales Performance Management market is extremely competitive. Read on to learn about Gartner’s Magic Quadrant report on the top SPM applications in today’s market.

      2CallidusCloud

      CallidusCloud

CallidusCloud is the leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant on Sales Performance Management. The company offering is the top option among the “Leaders” group with the highest rating for “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision.”

      3IBM

      IBM

IBM’s SPM tools took the second spot in the study, just behind CallidusCloud. According to Gartner, IBM is ranked in second place in both its “ability to execute” and its “completeness of vision.” It’s also in the “Leaders” category.

      4Optymyze

      Optymyze

This is where things get a bit tricky. In terms of its “completeness of vision,” Optymyze is in the third spot in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant behind CallidusCloud and IBM. However, for its “ability to execute,” Optymyze finds itself in fifth place behind the two market leaders, as well as Xactly and Anaplan.

      5Xactly

      Xactly

Depending on how your interpret the report, Xactly is either in third or fourth place in the Gartner study. When it comes to “completeness of vision,” it finds itself in fourth place, just behind Optymyze. However, it topped Optymyze in its “ability to execute,” earning it third place in that metric.

      6Oracle

      Oracle

Oracle’s SPM solutions took the fifth spot in Gartner’s study of which service has the best “completeness of vision.” However, its “ability to execute” was far behind that of Xactly, Optymyze, and Anaplan and nearly on par with NICE, which didn’t make it into the Leaders category.

      7Anaplan

      Anaplan

Anaplan is the last company in the six that ranked among Gartner Magic Quadrant Leaders.  Anaplan earned sixth place for its “completeness of vision,” but fared better—fourth place—for its “ability to execute.”

      8Incentives Solutions

      Incentives Solutions

Incentives Solutions was the only SPM provider in the Gartner Magic Quadrant to land in the Visionaries segment, which indicates the product has potential, but needs further development. The company came in seventh place for its “completeness of vision” and ranked even lower, in ninth place, for its “ability to execute.”

      9Beqom

      Beqom

Beqom is one of the two companies that made it into Gartner’s “Challengers” segment, thanks to a rather strong showing in its “ability to execute,” putting it in eighth place in the study. However, in the Challengers category, it was the top performer in its “completeness of vision.”

      10NICE

      NICE

The only other company to qualify for Gartner’s “Challengers” quadrant, NICE earned high marks for its “ability to execute.” In fact, in that metric, it was nearly on par with Oracle. However, falls short in terms of its “completeness of vision” and lags far behind the market leaders.

      11Obero

      Obero

There were two companies in Gartner’s Niche Players quadrant: Obero and Iconixx. But Obero narrowly took the lead, thanks to a slightly higher score for its “completeness of vision” and its “ability to execute.” Iconixx was ranked the lowest of the 11 companies that were including in Gartner’s SPM Magic Quadrant.
