Computer Associates International Inc. extended its rebranding efforts to its business management products Wednesday with the announcement that it has realigned its portal and business intelligence software under the CleverPath name.

CleverPath is one of three new CA brands, joining AllFusion for application lifecycle management and Advantage for application development, integration, enterprise reporting and “industrial-strength” databases. The portal and business intelligence products previously were part of CAs Jasmine brand. That brand remains, but is now limited to CAs object-oriented database technology.

The Islandia, N.Y., company also announced a host of new products as part of the re-branding, including an upgrade of the flagship, CleverPath Portal. Release 3.5 of the portal adds support for out-of-the-box wireless access via Wireless Application Protocol-enabled phones and PDAs, officials said.

Other new products include CleverPath Enterprise Content Manager for storing, managing, and accessing digital assets such as video, audio and other rich media.

CleverPath Predictive Analysis Server 2.0 features expanded customer-profiling capabilities designed to increase sales from existing customers and more quickly identify new markets. Version 2.0 also has tight integration with CleverPath Aion Business Rules Expert, which is now available in its 9.1 release. The new version of the business rules engine features dynamic rules management and an extended Java interface for improving developer productivity and application maintenance, CA officials said.

New releases of CleverPath OLAP 5.0, CleverPath Reporter 4.0, and CleverPath Forest & Trees 6.5 that are integrated with CleverPath Portal. In addition, CleverPath Forest & Trees 6.5 now supports double-byte languages, including Japanese, traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, and Korean.
