The OReilly Emerging Technology conference is off to the races with an opening keynote by Dean architect (and now MSNBC commentator) Joe Trippi. Trippi made news by strongly hinting at returning to the fray. “Maybe a website… I have a number of ideas,” Trippi offhandedly tossed off midway through a question and answer session.
Dean Internet advisor David Weinberger says efforts are underway to aggregate the technology assets of the various campaigns, and he sees Trippi as someone who could add a significant leadership prescence to that effort. Trippis frequent jabs at “broadcast politics” seemed to ignore Trippis own presence on Chris Mathews Hardball panels, but the audience gave him a standing ovation at the end of both his keynote and Q&A. As a blog wag put it, its hard to tell whether Dean replaced Trippi or the other way around.
Update: Here is the new site: ChangeForAmerica.com. Note the posts not only by Trippi but Dean blogger Matt Gross.
