SymphonyRPM, which develops business analytics software, has upgraded its namesake development platform to include new reporting and collaboration capabilities.

The upgrades to SymphonyRPM Performance Management Platform, announced last week, make it easier for business users from the shop floor to the office to create reports without having to tap IT expertise and to model “what-if” scenarios that can be displayed along with actual results. New hierarchies and dimensional views enable either role-specific or user-specific views of information, at both the user and group levels. At the same time, application building blocks enable a step-by-step process for creating front-end-based applications.

Users also have the ability to bring in applicable templates or use SymphonyRPMs functionality to create specific analytic views. A new design wizard lets users create reports and share information using a simplified process for directing workflows. The upgraded SymphonyRPM platform is available now.
