With all of the worries about privacy, security and integration costs and methodology, one critical issue is getting little attention: Data quality. And a Deloitte executive warns that this could derail otherwise well-thought-out RFID efforts.

With the new and unknown qualities of RFID, accuracy of data may be less of a concern than data consistency. If all personnel do not input the data in the precise same way, that could be a huge problem.
