The ASP industry consortium is commissioning a global study of industry trends to measure change application service provider services, officials said.

The study will be conducted throughout the next three years and will target both customers and vendors, officials of the Wakefield, Mass., trade association said.

For customers, the research will span more than 3,000 interviews. For vendors, the goal is to create a comprehensive database of ASPs and supporting companies. Initial results will be available as soon as next month, officials said.
