NetIQ Corp. on Tuesday released the latest version of its flagship WebTrends Web site analytics product, promising an improved, less report-heavy interface.

This version, WebTrends Reporting Center 5.0, shows data such as response and conversion rates of marketing campaigns or navigation through an online registration process via a dashboard view. Users can customize these dashboards to show the information thats most relevant to them.

WebTrends Reporting Center 5.0 is available in two editions, the eBusiness Edition and the Enterprise Edition.

The eBusiness Edition features the WebTrends Desktop for analyzing and viewing all Web visitor activity. Reporting templates are also available to deliver a customized view of the WebTrends Desktop.

The eBusiness Edition also features predefined dashboards for site metrics such as e-commerce, marketing campaigns, technical reports and visitor activity, and the WebTrends Map, which enables business users to select the items they wish to analyze by pointing and clicking as they navigate through the site.

Enterprise Edition adds customization capabilities for reports and dashboards.

It also provides a feature called Scenario Analysis that lets users track visitors through any part of their Web site, pinpointing visitor behavior through processes such as checkout and registration.

Users of this version can also build side-by-side comparative reports to analyze Web visitor behavior trends over time, seeing how visitors responded to changes and enhancements made to the site.

Both products are available now. Pricing starts at $3,500 for the eBusiness Edition and $10,500 for the Enterprise Edition.
