Oracle Corp. announced last week the availability of its latest Java and Web services development environment and said its Java application server continues to see strong sales.

The company said Oracle JDeveloper 10g is now available, featuring Oracles Application Development Framework, which simplifies application development—a goal several vendors, including Sun Microsystems, IBM and BEA Systems, are looking to reach with projects and product offerings.

Oracle also announced that its 10g Application Server has attracted more than 20,000 customers.
