An executive at Advanced Micro Devices Inc. suggested that Intel is misleading the market with its Centrino technology.

“Its not a processor,” said Kevin Knox, director of worldwide enterprise business development for AMD, noting that Centrino is Intels bundle of a chipset, mobile processor and wireless technology bundled in a single solution. “The wireless technology they bundle with the chip is garbage. But if you want Centrino, youve got to take that technology.”
