AT&T Wireless has cut 1,900 jobs to reduce its operating costs. According to the filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the cuts are designed to help AT&T Wireless achieve the best operating margins in the wireless industry by 2005. AT&T Wireless currently employs about 30,000 people.
