ST Microelectronics has acquired Synad Technologies Ltd. for an undisclosed amount. Synad developed dual-band 802.11a and 802.11b transceiver chips for wireless LANs. ST plans to bundle Synads chipset products with STs own products including residential gateways and home routers.
