Giving businesses a way to consolidate WAN load balancing and WAN backup with traffic management and security applications on one platform, Amplify.net Inc. is trial testing with customers a new gateway called iSurfJanus-RX.

The Fremont, Calif., company champions the gateway as a means of cost-effectively increasing bandwidth and reliability. Enterprises can aggregate up to three WAN connections from multiple ISPs to expand total bandwidth. By using a second connection, such as digital subscriber line or cable, as a backup and monitoring for line failure, businesses can improve network resiliency.

Intrusion prevention and hostile attack recovery features in the iSurfJanus-RX offer security. The gateway provides virtual private network, integrated firewall security and distributed-denial-of-service mitigation.

Pricing for the iSurfJanus-RX starts at $2,995.
