Cisco Sells 180,000 VOIP Phones to Bank of America

Cisco Systems Inc. this week announced an agreement to sell 180,000 VOIP phones to Bank of America Corp. The third-largest U.S. bank will replace desk phones in 5,800 offices and branches, along with 362 switches that direct call traffic.

The banks consultant Electronic Data Systems Corp. chose Cisco after a 14-month review.
