Agilent Technologies Inc. is readying a new version of its Firehunter eCommerce performance management tool that extends monitoring to client-side JavaScript applications.
Firehunter eCommerce, which competes with Mercury Interactive Inc.s Topaz and Hewlett-Packard Co.s OpenView Internet services, provides monitoring of different Web services by creating and recording synthetic transactions that are tested against a Web service and then measured for response time.
Release 1.5 adds the ability to track response times associated with client-side-spawned applications based on JavaScript. The latest release from the Palo Alto, Calif., company also improves the tools ability to extract business performance metrics by making it easier and more flexible to work with.
The tool requires Firehunter Pro as a base. The base price for the two combined is $65,000. The new release is available now.
