NetIqs Directory Security Administrator 1.0 simplifies management tasks associated with Microsofts Active Directory.

In tests, I was impressed with the seamless manner in which Directory Security Administrator snapped into the Active Directory management tool.

The Directory Security Administrator Search utility is a handy tool that allowed me to search a domain for rogue accounts with administrative rights—a useful capability that Microsoft should have included with Active Directory.

Another interesting utility is the Directory Security Administrator Permissions Explorer, which allowed me to see which users have rights to specific objects while showing how they got these rights.

Directory Security Administrator is priced at $9 per user. It can also be purchased as part of NetIQ Administration Suite, Standard and Advanced editions.
