SAP is greasing the wheels on its midmarket machine, announcing a program dubbed Fast-Start aimed at helping smaller companies get up to speed fast with its Business All-in-One business management software.

The new program, announced on Feb. 27, is a rapid implementation methodology to help midsized companies in the manufacturing, services and trade industries more quickly implement Business All-in-One. The program aims to do this by providing pre-configured processes fine-tuned for each industry, which are used with SAP’s MaxDB database and the customer’s choice of operating system.

The system comes with an online solution configurator that asks businesses a series of questions to determine how the solution should be configured for that particular business, along with the estimated cost and suggestions about which partners would best fit the company’s needs.
